What Is Electrostatic Disinfection?

What is Electrostatic Disinfection and Hypochlorous Acid (HOCL), How Does it Work?
What are the Benefits of Electrostatic Disinfection?
Electrostatic spraying is a new cleaning process that provides more coverage and sanitation to difficult-to-reach areas, cutting down or even eliminating chances of COVID-19 in your business.
Electrostatic spraying works by breaking disinfecting agent down into droplets, then adding an electric charge. The charge attracts the droplets to surfaces, so if you are spraying down a railing, the droplets will adhere to the underside of the rail. Regular trigger-spritzer bottles and foggers tend to miss areas or cover them unevenly. Electrostatic spraying evenly distributes cleaning agent around and across surfaces, from the main area to more difficult-to-reach sections. By cleaning electrostatically, you can reach the inside of fans and vents, the underside of desks and the entirety of any furniture you have in your school or office. Studies show that this process can kill bacteria ranging from the cold and flu virus to MRSA and norovirus.
Electrostatic spraying can cover more surface area in less time than standard cleaning and requires less labor. A standard electrostatic sprayer can cover up to 15,000 ft2 per hour, all while using less solution than other forms of cleaning and reaching more areas. You even save time on drying, because the solution will dry on its own
THE WRAPAROUND EFFECT
-The material is electrostatically charged as it passes through an electrostatic field produced between the electrode on the front of the gun and a grounded object.
-The charged particles of the material are attracted to the grounded (neutral) object and form an even coating.
-The charged material then wraps itself around the object, increasing the surface space that is coated.
-Because of this wraparound effect, electrostatic applicators are especially suitable for coating tubular products such as hand rails.
-Many parameters determine the efficiency with which the material can wrap around the surface. These include:
-Polarity of the coating
-Voltage potential of the spray gun
-Air velocity in the spray booth
-Efficiency of the ground

What is Hypochlorous Acid or HOCL? How do we use it and is it SAFE?
What is electrolyzed water?
Electrolyzed water is an all natural solution that is produced using just tap water, salts, and electricity. When using food grade table salt as an additive, our systems can generate a near neutral electrolyzed water (pH 5-7) composed mostly of stable hypochlorous acid (HOCl), a powerful oxidant and antimicrobial.
How effective is electrolyzed water as an antimicrobial?
Electrolyzed water, when generated from food grade table salt, is one of the most powerful sanitizers on the market. Electrolyzed water can be 100x more effective than chlorine bleach against bacteria, bacterial spores, viruses, and fungi. There are over 300 published research articles demonstrating it's effectiveness.
How effective against microbial pathogens?
Electrolyzed water's microbial killing power is contributed to its high oxidation potential (800 mV to 1,000 mV). Our electrolyzed water, when generated from food grade table salt, is composed 90% of stable hypochlorous acid (HOCL). HOCl is electrically neutral allowing for it to easily penetrate bacterial cell walls and viral protein coats and envelopes. Through oxidation. It destroys DNA, RNA, and proteins necessary for bacterial and viral survival and replication.
How safe is electrolyzed water?
Electrolyzed water is an all natural sanitizer created with just tap water, salt, and electricity. Electrolyzed water is non-toxic, non-hazardous, and non-irritant.
Can it be used directly on food as a no-rinse sanitizer?
Yes, electrolytically generated hypochlorous acid has been approved by the FDA for use as a no-rinse sanitizer on food contact surfaces and directly on food. It is also considered organic.
Does it require a Hazardous use permit?
No, it does not require a hazardous use permit.
Does it require safety gear by users?
No, it does not require any safety gear such as eye protection or gloves. It is non-toxic, non-hazardous, and non-irritant. We will still be using PPE accordingly to make sure there is no cross-contamination.
